David S. Goosman
Candidate for Berkeley District representative, Spotsylvania Board of Supervisors

David Goosman was elected in November 2025 to represent the Berkeley District on the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors and assumed office in January 2026. He has been a resident of Spotsylvania County since 2002 after retiring from 21 years of service in the United States Air Force. Mr. Goosman is a retired Air Force officer and engineer.

He has previously served the county on several advisory bodies, including the Economic Development and Tourism Committee, the Spotsylvania Economic Development Authority, and the Spotsylvania Transportation Committee.

Mr. Goosman holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College. Following his military service, he continued his public service as a government engineer supporting the United States Marine Corps, retiring from federal service in December 2024.

He is married to Barbara Goosman and has five children and eight grandchildren.
